Review by hotel critic
As a seasoned landscape photographer who appreciates the raw beauty of Ireland, my recent stay at Kylemore Pass was an insightful experience in weighing luxury against value. The establishment was efficiently managed, with clean rooms and pleasant staff that made for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location near Kylemore Abbey was convenient for exploring the area. The cozy pub and leisurely atmosphere provided a relaxing setting to unwind after a day of shooting rugged landscapes. The local postman's anecdotes added a touch of charm to the stay. Stuart, the hardworking employee, truly went above and beyond to ensure guests felt welcome and taken care of.While the breakfast was delicious and the decor charming, I found the value proposition of the hotel to be slightly on the higher side compared to the level of luxury offered. The superb views from the corner room and comfy bed were highlights, but some amenities like in-room coffee facilities or a welcome drink were missed. In conclusion, Kylemore Pass offers a pleasant stay with a friendly host and picturesque surroundings, but for those seeking a balance between cost and luxury, it may fall slightly short on value.
